Episode 10 ‘Summer cherry blossoms, and the mistake’ has Kiyoka & Miyo arriving at the Usuba mansion, where they find a cherry blossom tree blooming in summer. Arata discloses that he is Miyo’s cousin. He uses ‘Tsuruki’ a pseudonym when in public.
Miyo’s nightmare’s are actually her spiritual gift, he explains. Head of the Usubas , Yoshiro Usuba is introduced to them. He is her grandfather. Yoshiro offers Kiyoka to let her stay in her maternal home.
But Kiyoka wants to protect Miyo, himself. Arata questions him if he shouldn’t be focused on the impending invasion of the Grotesqueries on the capital. Arata challenges him for a duel. Kiyoka has an upper hand & is about to win the duel when Arata’ s illusion of Miyo distracts him & he loses the duel.
Miyo stays with the family & Kiyoka vows he will get her back once the situation is handled. Hazuki ‘s words give him a scolding & advise to assert himself for Miyo. Disheartened, he needed to hear it.
At the Usuba mansion, Yoshiro is about to tell Miyo how her mother married into the Saimoris & why she sealed Miyo ‘s spiritual powers.
Only two more episodes to go. The eleventh ‘My Mother’s Legacy’ will reveal the secret. But it should have been revealed earlier. The series has very little time for Kiyoka & Miyo to be together. Contrary to the story line , Miyo finding her powers & Kiyoka ‘s feelings being reciprocated, there is no time for it.
One review says, it has no story. I don’t believe. The story is there with the beautiful visuals but it is not properly developed. And yet, it makes a beautiful watching.
