Re -watching ‘You are my Destiny’ has three sisters on an island. Jang Nara becomes pregnant & comes to her hometown. Here, the mother running ‘Sister’s restaurant’ & Ms Ko in ‘Welcome to Samdal-ri’ leading the haenyeo. Both are fiery ladies. Maybe because they are looking after three daughters.
After ‘Healer’ Ji Chang wook & Kim Mi kyung sharing the screen was delightful. Also he calls her ‘Mom’, she is one after his own mother has died. Looking at him brings back memories of his trail setter show. He became a household name then. Here, a softie, waiting for her to come back, he has changed.
In ‘Love struck in the City’ he travels to Seoul with her in his heart. But never hurries her or pressures her for not contacting him. He is pining for her , but doesn’t want to push her into an unwanted relationship.
So different from his role in ‘Empress Ki’ where he is noticed in spite of the leads. I have seen that the female leads are strong in his dramas. He doesn’t have any fears of being overshadowed. Wow.
‘Suspicious Partner’ the first drama I saw has him in a powerful role but the female lead has her own opinions. She doesn’t get bogged down just because she is an intern! Also the mystery added spice to the drama.
Shin Hye sun, the diction fairy’ is always there. She is drunk & admits her feelings for him. The scene is the cherry on top! She has given her all. We already know what a fine actress she is. But with every drama she manages to amaze us!!
