After going through the plot, one knows it follows the path of heartbreak. Yet, it holds the attention. The viewership is steady & the popularity phenomenal. Among all the shows running today, the lead pair has the most votes.
Singapore’s national newspaper The Straits Times gave ‘My Demon’ four out of five stars, praising the series for it’s cast & execution of the plot. The good chemistry between the leads Song Kang & Kim Yoo-jung gave them highest ranking in the online voting process. They were way ahead of the second pair in the competition.
The series also ranked second on Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) category.
SBS had come out saying that we consider other criterias & had wanted to consider the other pair. But the audience poll or say the pressure prevailed & they got the award! Song Kang was absent for the function but Kim Yoo jung received the awards in person.
Best supporting actress Seo Jeong yeon & Jung Soo won as the best supporting actor received 2023 SBS Drama Awards. On the brink of a change in the leads life, the next episodes are to be aired on 5 & 6 Jan.2024. The last 16th episode will be aired on 20th of the month.
I remember another show, ‘Start Up’ where the audiences leaned heavily towards the second lead & refused to accept the end. It was so lame. They also went on to become violent & had demonstrations against the leads.
In the tenth episode, he saves her from fire. He knows her death will transfer his tattoo back to him & also his powers. But still, he chooses to save her. His focus has shifted. The tattoo comes back to him!
We have to wait for the next episode. Both have saved each other & the marriage ,fake at first , is gradually becoming too real.
We are loving the drama. The leads have done a fabulous job. Kudos to them.
