Santaan , in Hindi means Children! Innocent, pure & sheer joy!! One who has them is the wealthiest. But is it true in our times, today ? If we start thinking as a burden to them in our old age, then something has gone wrong somewhere.
How did it begin ? From the old man abandoned at the airport to the children left in the fair? Where did we start?? In the modern times where we have developed an AI & rockets to the Moon, we are unable to instill confidence in our off springs??
From the authoritarian, debating to inquiring or wanting proof , the parents have faced it all. The changing times have made the relations more open but also open to discussion & decline.
What was taken as granted is not so. The bonds between the close ones have been put to test, verified. Good or bad the relations need nurture. Alas! we don’t have time for it!
When the gadgets have the upper hand, the relations have also transitioned from being sweet to sour. A good morning or good night message is good enough! A birthday wish is all you get. Thinking of making a visit is a huge thing!
The communication is great but the connect is lost. You are just a phone call away but that call never materializes. Such are the times!
