Finishing all of 25 episodes, I am enjoying it. Less of cliche & more steadfast the relationship between the leads. We as audience do not have that feeling of being played. Beibei is accused of two timing. She is not.
When she asks Nai if she is unfaithful, how will he react. He is calm & says I will have faith! If you are unfaithful, I will bring faith to you!! Instead of using big words, he is in tune with his character. Faithful.
Yang yang doesn’t smile much. But shows all the right emotions. When he is aloof, he watches. Later when he is with her, he watches. Never taking any lead, he lets her do as she wishes.
The dinner plan when she gets ambushed by all the people of her clan, she calls him up to pick up. It is raining. He drives & comes up holding an umbrella for her. The group is in awe. They want him to join. She explains, he is aloof & not comfortable with strangers! How apt!
Knowing the needs of the partner instinctively, is wonderful. A relationship is rarely so. Ideal.
Watching the film means I already know how this is going to pan out, yet they have managed to surprise me. It doesn’t lose the plot. It doesn’t drag. What more can a viewer ask for?
Looking forward to Yang yang’s next C drama.
