It is a 2020 Taiwanese Malaysian Netflix original series. Co-directed by Malaysian directors Quek Shio-chuan & Ho Yu-hang. It is based on the novel ‘The Ghost Bride’ written by Malaysian writer Yangsze Choo & Kuang Tian.
Starring Huang Pei-ja, Wu Kang-jen, Ludi Lin, Kuang Tian. All of six episodes, if we skip the gore, the story is entertaining.
In 1890s Malacca, Li lan finds herself in the afterlife & becomes mired in a mystery linked to the sinister, deceased son of a wealthy family.
Wu Kang -ren as Er -lang is a 500 year old deity. He helps her around. The actor is also known as Chris Wu. A Taiwanese actor & model. He went public with his relationship with ‘The Perfect Match’ co-star Ivy Shao in November 2020.
