It is a Taiwanese romantic drama. It is an adaptation of the eponymous 2009 South Korean film ‘More Than Blue’ (why am I not surprised? ) & the Taiwanese remake ‘More Than Blue’. It premiered on Netflix on Oct.22, 2021. It received 9 nominations at the 57th Golden Bell awards & went on to win Best direction for Hsieh Pei-ru & Best supporting actor for Bai Run -yin.
Literally meaning ‘ A story Sadder than sadness’. After I read the plot, I had ignored it knowing it is going to be a tearjerker. But then as I started with the first episode, I knew I had to watch it till the end.
A manager of a record label & his assistant set out in search of the original writer of the hit song ‘The saddest thing of All’. Simple? Not so.
Because the photographer, Yu Chen-hsi (Cindy) doesn’t help with finding the copyright of the song in K’s belongings , E Shine’s employee , An Yi-chi , goes at night. Enters the studio, gets caught & is hauled to the police station. All in the first episode!
