The Tv series was released on March 30, 2023. The lead role of Sawako is assessed by Sara Minami & Shota Kazehaya by Oji Suzuka. They look good together. Tetta Sugimoto as Shota’s father, who runs the sports store is a tough guy.
After getting used to them, I realised they have chosen the actors with care. I expected Shota to be lanky but Oji is cute. He has every expression that we expect of Kazehaya. His frail frame is misleading.
More like the anime are Pin, who is a splitting image & makes his entry as expected. Shohei Miura is excellent. When his student confesses her love for him, his response is mature. Befitting a teacher. Having a crush or being her first love is something not a laughing matter for her. He handles it so well.
More than the leads, her story had more shades to it. She advised her friends all along but when she really falls for her teacher, she doesn’t know what to do about it. Setting her goal with the help of Pin & also choosing to go for the School in Tokyo wasn’t easy for her!
Also Kurumi, who spread lies to get Kazehaya also comes around & apologises. Himena Irei at her best. Later she teams up with Sawako Kuronuma to get admission in the Sapporo Teacher’s institute was excellent. She accepted defeat & from rival to friend made the journey. Her attitude change was brilliant.
Among Sawako’s friends, the other Chi who has fallen for Ryu’s elder brother comes around to fall for Ryu.Her character has been sketched so well. Ryu, a solid support whenever needed is the best!!
Altogether the live action series is more entertaining. Looking forward to the film now.
