It is a spiritual sequel to the 2019 ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’. By the same director with different stars. It is inspired by BR Chopra’s 1978 film with the same name, starring Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha with Ranjeeta.
Released on 15 May 2026. Made on a budget of est, Rs 600 million , it garnered Rs 640.6 million.
It received mixed reviews & was a semi hit. It managed to recover its budget.
Most of it is filmed in North India. Some sequences in Prayagraj.
Rotten Tomatoes gave 4.5/10. Rishabh Suri of Hindustan Times gave 3.5 stars & said, it excells with a sharp script & strong performances.
Vineeta Kumar of India Today gave 3 stars of five & says, The film stays light & crowd pleasing & avoids saying anything deeper – a clean , breezy entertainer’.
A few laughs are strained but that’s okay. It keeps you in your seat. No suspense, thrills or twists. But you keep watching.
