Forces of Nature (1999)

It is an American rom com film. Directed by Bronwen Hughes. Written by Marc Lawrence. Starring Sandra Bullock, Ben Affleck.

Ben & Sarah meet when their plane to Savannah has a freak accident before take off. As they want to arrive there urgently, they band together , having many misadventures along the way.

Released on 19 March, 1999. Made on a budget of $ 75 million it garnered $93.9 million. It received mixed reviews from the critics.

Filming took place at South of the Border, a tourist attraction near Dillon, South Carolina, in Savannah, Georgia. The Joseph Johnson house on Craven street in Beaufort, South Carolina known as “The Castle” was used as the Cahill house.

Main terminal at Dulles International Airport is used as fictionalized New York City airport.

It ranked first at the box office in the opening weekend , above ‘True Crime’ & ‘Analyse This’. In the second weekend it earned less. In the third weekend, it was overtaken by ‘Matrix’.

Rotten Tomatoes gave 46% with an overall 5.3/10. Metacritic gave 46% indicating ‘mixed or average ‘reviews.

CinemaScore gave a ‘B-‘ on a scale of A+ to F.

A lack of chemistry between the leads. True. A story that is not exactly romantic. An unplanned adventure. Great.

I loved the end. He goes for his bride. Realizing he wants to live with her for the rest of his life!
