It is based on the novel Ying Tao Hu Po by Yun Zhu.
The story follows a group of students growing up in a 1990s mining town.
Released on 14 July 2025. Filming in Weihai, Shandong with many scenes set in the Huancui District. Locations include the Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai campus), Weihai No. 1 High School & the Gushan 2nd Alley to recreate 1990s aesthetic.
Both the leads have worked earlier in ‘The Princess Royal”. After watching her in ‘Shine on Me’ with Song Weilong, I am still watching ‘Pursuit of Jade’ 2026 & finding it fascinating.
Linghe has gained some weight for the role & he really looks the part. The female lead Tian is also very beautiful. She compliments him well.
Zhao Jinmai is one of my forever fav. so I can’t miss any of her dramas.
