Qian Yunxi, a young girl is sent to live in the mountains at the age of eight for possessing ‘strange abilities’. Her noble family marries her off to an enemy prince, Ye Youming, to restore peace & harmony, instead of her younger sister.
This storyline is similar to ‘The Prisoner of Beauty’.
Harboring immense contempt for the family of Qian, Ye Youming refuses to acknowledge her as his wife & treats her coldly.
The Japanese drama , ‘My Happy Marriage’ also hinges on the girl unwanted by her own family, but the Prince known to be cold, eccentric & cruel falls for his wife.
When her sister watches Prince Ye, she feels bad. She now wants to get back what is hers!! Similar to her sister in ‘My Happy Marriage’.
In season 2, the Prince wants to shift to his wife ‘s quarters. She is against the idea. But he says, he owns the palace, so can decide where to stay.
As they say the witty banter between them & the slow burn romance between the leads is perfect for our watching.
