A successful prosecutor Elena Guerra, who is about to take a leave of absence from her job in Mantua, Italy to go to New York where her husband has accepted a job.
Her plan is upended when she is assigned a delicate case of a young girl ‘s (Angelica Petroni )murder. A very wealthy local woman Linda Monaco is accused of murder. She is defended by the noted & ambitious criminal defense lawyer Ruggero Barone.
Filmed in the city of Mantua. At Palazzo Te, Piazza Sordella, Palazzo d’ Arco, Palazzo Beccaguti, Palazzo Cavriani, Palazzo Andreani & the lakes in Mantua. Some scenes were shot in Rome.
Rotten Tomatoes gave a 9 of 10. Acting is very good. The Mantua story ‘s setting in North central Italy is interesting. The dialogs dubbed in English don’t co-relate well with the video.
Right from the first frame the drama grips you. Then as the murder occurs it becomes murkier. From the forensic to the rich heir, Linda ‘s husband ‘s , involvement it gets more & more intriguing.
Finding that Angelica , the 17 year old , may be related to our protagonist & that she was pregnant adds to the mystery.
