Parchure Atul

He was an Indian actor who performed in films, TV serials & on stage. ‘Atul’ ie. incomparable. One & only one. He was known for his presence will be missed now.

He was born on 30 Nov. 1966, Mumbai,India. He died of cancer in Mumbai, 14 Oct. 2024, at the age of 57.

He was mainly known for his comic roles in Marathi & Hindi films. He starred in plays like ‘Vasu Chi Sasu’, ‘Priyatama’, Tarun TurkaMhatare Arka’. Notable movies include ‘Navra Maza Navsacha’. This film I can watch everyday! ‘Salaam -E -Ishq’, ‘Partner’, ‘All the Best: Fun Begins’, ‘Katta Meetha’, Bbuddah … Hoga Tera baap’.

He worked on Zee Marathi’s popular show, Jaago Mohan Pyare along with Supriya Pathare & Shruti Marathe. He also worked as a protagonist in Bhago Mohan Pyare , whi9ch is a sequel of Jaggo Mohan Pyare. He received Best Actor & Best comedy Character awards in Zee Marathi Utsav Natyancha awards 2019 for this serial.

He became a household name with his TV show, ‘Aaj Aatta Tabadtob’ where he asked questions to the pedestrians & gave them prizes on the spot.

An actor who could have you in splits without really cracking silly jokes. He would speak with a dead pan expression & have you laughing.

Seamlessly moving from screen to the stage was his forte. In the worldly way he wasn’t handsome. He had a solid frame. Fatty. But his ability to move you was phenomenal.

A rare breed of actors.
