It is a 2014 South Korean short drama film. Also known as ‘This Is my Da’. Directed by Kim Young Gyoon. Screen writer Yoo Jung Hee. It stars Song Ha Yoon, Moon Ji Yoon, Gu Won, Sung Byung Sook, Kim Gun.
Huiyeong is a young woman in her 20s, who has a 7 year old boy. In her immature years she happened to be a mother. A child giving birth to a child & that too without his father. She ‘s doing her best . She runs a pizza shop with her mom. Trying to be the best mom.
She attends an alumni reunion & happens to meet the father of her child, who doesn’t know he has a son!
Song Ha Yoon as the single mother is sweet. Recently saw her in ‘Baby & I’ 2008, before in ‘Fight for My Way’ 2017, ‘ Marry My Husband’ 2024. She takes on the role of the best friend, grabbing everything that her friend loves.
Moon Ji Yoon as the boy’s father is amusing. A die hard fan of bikes. Known for his role in ‘Cheese in the trap’ 2018 movie, ‘Big ‘ 2012, ‘Cheese in the Trap’ 2016, ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’ 2016 as Bok Joo’s sunbae. He passed away at the age of 36 due to acute septicemia on March 18, 2020.
Gu won as the English Teacher, nicknamed ‘Mr Fatty’ has a crush on her since school. Seen in ‘Love with Flaws’ 2019. How we wished he was the child’s father! When all the hints were there, we wish the end would change!
Kim Gun as Choi Go Ya is cute. Some sentences may appear rude but he is frankly expressing himself. He goes to see the new bikes in the showroom with Go Soo Cheol, but gets lost. He goes to the English academy. He thinks Oh Dong Joo is his father.
One is reminded of ‘Was it Love ?’ Only, the girl there is a school going kid & wants to find her father. Of the three candidates around she has to figure out which one ! Similar to Merryl Streep’s ‘Mama Mia! ‘
