It is a 2024 Chinese drama. Also known as ‘The Shadow’, Ru Yue, Bing Xue Yao. Directed by Li Mu Ge. Screen writer is Wang Hong. It stars Gao Wei Guang & Ouyang Nana. Along with Winwin as doctor Situ, Ryan Ren as Li Ying Liang. Supported by Maggie Huang & Tang Jing Mei.

During the Republican era, Shen Zhi Heng, a famous vampire lived over a century. He was almost assassinated by a group of corrupt soldiers & saved by a blind girl & his best friend Doctor Situ. Later Shen Zi Heng & Mi lan’s lives become more intertwined as he searches for the reason he became what he was while she needs a reason to live.

Afapted from the novel ‘Ru Yue’ by Ni Luo. It focuses on the leads. I would have liked to see how the handsome doctor manages his relationship. When Mi Lan goes to the hospital to find Dr Situ, I had thought of him as the main lead!

With Mr Shen later there was no doubt. With his hairstyle, he looks older than the girl. I watched them on TV & in modern clothes they look younger. She looks her age! In the drama her short hair make her appear cute, innocent But a lot younger than him!

Fans have complained about the ‘no chemistry’ but the era keeps you hooked. No sharp turns but the intrigue is fascinating.

I loved watching it.
