It is a Chinese 2021 drama. It stars Zhu Xudan, Dylan Wang, Deng Wei, Pan Mei Ye with others. It has 36 episodes. It is adapted from the game ‘Yu Long’ by Cheng Guang Games.
It is a tale of love & promises that spans three lifetimes. Liu Ying, a maidservant , unknowingly saves a snake. At the prodding of her employer. But she takes good care of it. Little knowing that it is a thousand year old dragon named Yuchi Longyan.
In gratitude, Yuchi offers to marry her but a misunderstanding ensues. He patiently waits by her side for three lifetimes. In the fourth lifetime , as Gu Quing Yan, she notices him from her childhood.
The lead pair is good But the second couple is interesting. The reviews are glowing. Deng Wei & Pan Mei Ye make an adorable couple. Footage given is less but they are just .. wow.
The fights between Dylan & Deng are high voltage. Both have a towering height of 6 feet & their costumes white & black contrast each other. I had seen Dylan in white hair but the first frame was regal. Later his hair is styled & colored also as the need arose.
After the 30th episode the story becomes sad. The final episodes could have been better. It drags a bit.
Overall, with Dylan we wait for her to complete her lifetimes. But it is a painful wait. I would like to see them again with a better story. The second couple deserves a lead of their own. They are so good!
Entertaining. With ‘Unchained love’ the title track is haunting & hummable.
