Starting with the series made me think of the movie of the same name. It finishes so fast. All the main points are covered in the series in detail. Also their friends have more scope, their fears & strengths are depicted well.
The concept of a virtual wedding & being each other’s spouses is new. Also the function & the celebration is good. Later finding who that person actually is, then is the journey.
All happens onscreen but the person behind is the real one. What drives him are his emotions, will, skill, power that make him human.
The genius , Cao Guang, gets introduced to Wei Wei due to his post. Without verifying, he labels her for being a bad person getting out of a luxury car. She has been tutoring a kid. His single mother owns the car. The snap was from when she dropped Wei Wei to the campus.
In the movie, she confronts him in a class & corrects him there in front of everybody. She looks more arrogant than what we would like our lead to be. But in the series she catches up to him alone.
He is happy that it let to their introduction. He wants to befriend her but she is already taken, so to speak. She turns him down by using the name of Xiao Nai, another popular student from Computer department & her senior.
He is the genius of the department. At number one position & also very popular among the girls. A wiz at gaming. Wei Wei’s gaming husband. But they come to know of it later.
What is interesting is the fact that she is in second year & he is in the fourth, but she is in the top ten & now, their combination is awesome. She has three friends & so does he. They provide us all the spice to spruce up the matters.
