It is a 2021 Philippine romantic comedy film. It stars Maymay Entrata & Edward Barber. Directed by Barry Gonzales. The film’s title is a play on the 2001 film ‘The Princess Diaries’.
Reese , a poor girl who wants a happy ending. She is lured by the guarantee of cash, consents to pretend to be a princess of a kingdom. The real princess who looks like her can finally run away.
She has three cousins but leaves alone on the journey. It kept reminding me of Selena Gomez in ‘Monte Carlo’ where she happens to be a lookalike of a British heiress. She has travelled with two of her friends to Paris then Monte Carlo.
I was also reminded of Theo from the film who is with Selena’s supporter. Here it is Edward Barber who has the same soft looks. Admires & advices her.
