I was fascinated by the title. Why only 48 & not 50?? Why not one wish, why so many?? Will the film have a satisfactory answer for me??

It is a 2017 film by Marco Deufemia & Justin Dyck. Written by Neale Kimmel. Two junior elves accidentally destroy a bag of Christmas wishes for a small town on Christmas eve. If one wish goes unfulfilled, Christmas would be extinguished forever. They venture out of North Pole & sneak into Minnedosa to collect the lost wishes.
