In the second episode & I was wondering where I had seen a family tangled like this?? Then I remembered Park Hyung sik & his drama. His father sells tofu & his children do not acknowledge the efforts he has put in. ‘What Happens to My Family? ‘ is a 2014 South Korean drama.
The father has raised his children without their mother with the help of his sister. The 53 episodes made for all the events hilarious & serious in the family. His eldest daughter is a secretary at a big firm, eldest son is an oncologist & resentful of his humble origin & the youngest son is Dal bong (Park hyung -sik).
The drama starts with a young girl, Nam Ji hyun moving to Seoul in the hope of marrying Dal bong! This was very funny. Not so funny was that he is not the boy she is in search of!!!
The doctors got me to think of this drama. The maybe girlfriend of their father causes an upheaval. Why should a father be a father forever?? Can’t he have a private life of his own?? Why can’t he think of himself now that all his responsibilities are over??
‘Once again’ brings many issues to the fore. The society today needs a band aid, but the bond needs to be a forever kind!!! Fickle mindsets & showy exteriors are no good.
The show is just warming up!
