Rahman’s foot tapping music adds to the flavour.The film was later remade in Hindi as ‘Ok Jaanu’ in 2017. Starring the recent heartthrobs, Shraddha Kapoor & Aditya Roy Kapur it could not create the magic.

The song ”The Humma song’ is hummable but doesn’t have the same zing as the original. By original I mean the Tamil version & also the song originally form ‘Bombay’ filmed on Sonali Bendre had a special significance!
It made more than 40 crores but cannot be compared with the original. The hindi pair in their first film, Aashiqui were lovable. But here they are seasoned & we are too aware of the fact.
The beauty of OK Kanmani lies in the actors. They are so fresh & their chemistry is natural. They get to know each other slowly & it shows. The scenes are so common place it could happen just anywhere!
It is a beautiful experience. The end comes slowly & casually.
