Then came the stage where she thought she would fix her with her son. Outrageous! A girl with such strong convictions would never be happy with a fixed match. Also when he has a girlfriend & he plans to marry her! Just because she is not what you imagined, she cannot be cut off. Her son is sure that he will work around it.
Shortening the name to HP is so cute. We have our petrol from the stations with either BP or HP. So Indians are too used to this word. I never thought it could be done like this. Nice.
