Instead of menopause then the mother is having a late pregnancy. She is diagnosed on the birthday of her lost son! Such things are common place in the dramas by Shin Won-ho who is known to handle the issues with great skill.
Go Ara is pretty. More so with her ruffled hair than in her wedding gown where she looks just like any beauty queen. Nothing special. Specially her eyes! They are remarkable, not a surprise that two people fall for her, and hard!
Jung Woo with his short hair is made to look like a medical student. That he does. A solid pillar of strength to the family which would have crashed! He is her first love but his feelings are not known yet.
Yoo Yeon seok is the tall, handsome baseball player & falls for the girl head over heels. He can see that she has her mind set on Trash but that doesn’t discourage him. He is ringing up home to hear her voice & asking her to be at his games to cheer him.
Kim Sung -kyun is the student who is gullible & two years junior, born in 1977. He has the looks that he looks older. As a man of his word he plans to go on his bicycle for a ride of 15 days but his plan gets changing. He comes home for the wallet, his pager & finally attends Do-hee’s mother’s call & decides to go to the Gangnam bus depot.
Son ho joon as Haitai is a student who wishes to blend in the crowd at Seoul. He wants to forget his roots & now is fast learning to be a town dweller. In ‘Was It Love’ as the writer he shows maturity & moody nature at the same time. He has changed his getup but really hasn’t changed much!
Do-hee as Jo Yoon-jin is the girl who hides her face with her hair. She is overwhelmed when Kim sung kyun attends her mother. She changes her opinion about him & marries him before the leads do! She is the true friend in ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty” for the leads.
Baro as Binggeure is a good student. He gets admitted to the medical course but loves to sing. He takes a leave of absence to think about what to do next! He is continuously guided by Trash.
Sung Dong II & Lee II hwa are the parents in ‘Reply 1988’ & again in “Reply 1994” They compliment each other. Their comfort level is translated on the screen in a big way. Their makeup & getup is different here but the way they care of each other is so sweet. I have seen them in other shows too.
Bringing together a heavy starcast & blending their stories was no easy feat & yet it is done wonderfully!
