In the film , Violet Evergarden arrives at a private women’s academy to tutor the daughter of the York noble family named Isabella.
Rotten Tomatoes gave 80%. Daryl Harding Of Crunchyroll lauded the film for it’s animation, direction & music. He praised the character growth among the existing cast.
Violet remains the same & that is an achievement. She remains unbiaised. Balancing both the sister’s personalities, Amy & Taylor, as some have pointed out, the two halves are not that perfect.
First Amy is introduced & then Taylor. But then they don’t meet. The sweet sorrow all pervading, I wished they would meet & cry . At least exchange their thoughts.
Is constraint a special feature in Japanese stories ??? I wonder.
