It is a South Korean TV series. Written by Hwang Jin young. Directed by Kim Seong yong, Lee Han jun, Cheon Soo jin. Starring Namkoong Min, Ahn Eun jin, Lee Hak joo, Lee Da in, Kim Yoon woo, Lee Chung ah.
According to the writer Hwang Jin young , it is inspired by the 1936 novel ‘Gone with the Wind’ by Margaret Mitchell.
The series is set in Qing invasion of Joseon & portrays the inspiring story of people who find hope & positivity even in most challenging time.
The series was divided in two parts. First 10 episodes were aired from 4 August to 2 September 2023 & Second from 13 October to 18 November 2023 with 11 episodes.
The viewership rose from 5.4 % to 12.2 % for the first part & from 7.7 % to 12.9% for the second part.
At the Grimae awards in 2023 Best actor Namkoong Min, Best actress Ahn Eun jin, Directing award Kim Seong yong & Cheon Soo jin, Grand prize ‘My Dearest’, Lighting award Kwon Min gu.

In 2024 at Baeksang Arts awards Best drama & Best actor were awarded to ‘My Dearest ‘ & Namkoong Min.
