‘You ‘re my sun’ the song runs & we get all warm. It is cozy, fuzzy & yes, romantic. In the university she falls for a talented student, Weiming Lai as Xu Zhuang. She confesses her feelings & promises to wait till he reciprocates her feelings.
Hesitant he fails to reach her & she meets the handsome Weilong Song as Yusen Lin, as her boss. He expresses his feelings but realizes she hasn’t moved on. He asks her to take her time & have a choice.
Firstly, persuasion but subtle. He had been misled to believe that he is meeting her. On his way on the highway to Wuxi, he meets with an accident. His left hand is injured & his promising career as a neurosurgeon is cut short.
Feeling bitter, he puts her to difficult tasks but her sincerity makes him fall for her again. Hurting inside, she starts falling for this new guy who neither promises nor ignores her. He quietly stands by her.
I loved the constraint when he knows something has happened. He neither asks her nor gives any suggestions. I felt bad for the guy from her past. He is intelligent, devoted, poor and hesitant. He is overwhelmed by her status. But his hesitation causes him to lose her.
The way he ran later, his actions should have been better. Not making sure if Dr Lin is actually her boyfriend, he froze to see someone beside her. She came running to see if Dr Lin was injured actually summed up the situation.
I felt bad for him. His efforts came late & he came clean at a time too late. Having the benefit of meeting her earlier & knowing of her feelings he could have done better!
I am loving the drama. A bit long but very entertaining.
