I chanced upon a young girl behind her mother getting off the two wheeler. The mother is driving/riding means the girl is yet in school. A teenager.
As they came to a stop at their house, her father flew out calling her names! From ‘H..’ not a good sign. First, she may be late. Second she may have made her mother come to fetch her, or it maybe something else.
The girl was wearing a t-shirt & track pant. Maybe coming straight from the ground, from practice.
Her father ‘s words unsettled me. He cannot rant on a road! He can NEVER use such words to address his daughter!
I may have scolded my children when they were young but one must never totally lose it! You are & always be a parent. Some words are , unprintable, not to used in front of the children.
We are careless when young but parenthood is a huge responsibility. It is forever. Unescapable. Words are diamonds. A young child is a filter paper, absorbing everything. So one has to be very careful.
Trying to understand the situation & then reacting, is the best way! We have to learn, a lot as a parent. Actually, we keep learning all our life!
We don’t own our children. But they have made our lives colorful, no doubt!
A belated happy children ‘s day! Why only November 14th, make every day special for your kid !!
