It is based on ‘Bade Acchche Lagte Hai’ in Hindi which was very popular. It ran from 30 May 2011 to 10 July 2014. In Malayalam ‘Anuraga Ganam Pole’ , Kananda ‘Amrutdhare’ & in Tamil ‘Nenjathai Killathe’.
‘Amrutdhare’ began from 29 May 2023 & is still streaming. The Tamil show ended on 17 Jan 2025. The Marathi version is the newest.
‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hai’ trans, ‘They look so Good!’ created by Ektaa Kapoor for Balaji Telefilms. The title is derived from a song composed by R D Burman from a 1976 Bollywood film ‘Balika Badhu’.
The story is based on the Gujrati play ‘Patrani’ by Imtiaz Patel.
The first season lasted for 644 episodes. Season 2 had 453 episodes & season 3 had 57. Season 4 started in June 16 till 19 Sept. 2025. It had 70 episodes.
The main couple with their off springs later brought the audiences back to daily soaps. Earning TRP & accolades it has been a favorite among all audiences.
