It became the most anticipated release on iQIYI. It generated positive reactions for its intense action sequences, mysterious tone & high production value.
Certain scenes were shot in Hong Kong & Macau, which required Bai Jingting to learn Cantonese for his role. The team incorporated Hong Kong style action & fight sequences into the series.
The bank robbery in the first episode, he studies the scenario five times & knows he can make changes. He tries to prepare his team & avoid it with the least human loss . Resetting is a bit repetitive but flawlessly done.
In ‘The First Frost’ as Sang Yan , Bai Jingting has a romantic role. Suddenly into a dapper detective was a transition that took me by surprise. The genre changes but his sincereity shines through. He is good.
Since 2021, every drama he led has marked as a major hit, so this should be the same. Averaging over 50 million views per episode, this remains to be seen . The drama has potential, it will surpass the old record.
