It is an Indian Marathi language family drama film. Written By Alok Sutar, Navjyot Bandwadekar. Directed by Navjyot Bandiwadekar. Starring Nikita Dutta, Bhushan Pradhan, Ajinkya Deo, Ashwini Bhave, Sanjay Mone, Shubhangi Gokhale.
Set in Konkan, the film showcases the Gharat family ‘s annual tradition of welcoming Gauri Ganapati, highlighting how this cherished practice spans three generations & brings the family closer together by navigating generational differences & strengthening their bonds.
Released on 26 July 2024. Filming took place across states in Maharashtra & Kerala. In the Konkan belt, Guhagar & Dabhol & a few portions in Kochi, Kerala.
It received critical acclaim & was a commercial success. It grossed Rs. 4.75 crores.
Prior to the teaser ‘s debut , the team visited Mumbai “s Siddhivinayak temple.
Bhave & Deo re united after over 20 years, after their successful political thriller ‘Sarkarnama’ 1998. It marks Nikita Dutta ‘s Marathi debut.
At City Cine awards 2024 , Sameer Sawant won Best Lyricist for ‘Navsachi Gauri Mazi’. At International Film Festival of India 2024, Navjyot Bandiwadekar won Best Debut Director.
In 2025, Zee Chitra Gavrav Puraskar, Ashwini Bhave won Best Supporting actress, with Dr Sumeet Patil who won Best Art Director.
NDTV Marathi Entertainment awards 2025, Nikita Dutta won Best Debut female. Abhay Jodhpurkar won Best Playback Singer -male for ‘Navasachi Gauri Mazi’ & Sanket Sane for Best Music Album. At Ma Ta Sanman 2025, Best Editing award for Ashish Mhatre.
