It narrates adrenaline fueled story of a man hunt to capture a dreaded criminal named Carl Bhojraj, who escapes from Delhi ‘s Tihar Jail. Inspector Madhukar Bapurao Zende of Mumbai Police is tasked by his senior officer, DGP Purandare to capture the escapee & bring him to justice.

A film that one should n ‘t miss. Agreed it comes across as a dark comedy, yet some scenes do tell the correct story. The rivalry within the department, the elusive criminal & how helpless the police feel when he escapes & has to be caught again.
Every actor shines. Manoj Bajpayee as fit as a fiddle. Girija as his wife adorable. Not because she is my niece but she does look good as a house wife. When she brings the brass dubba of ‘puran poli’ to send him to the police station & hands it over to his senior officer. Khedekar being a kind man gets another dubba exclusively for himself !
In Gen X which wife will think of celebrating with ‘puran poli’& wish to send it??? Mandlekar has done a good job.
Another documentary film named ‘Zende ‘ was made in 2023. Rated at 9/10. Starring Madhukar Zende himself. 82 year old retired assistant commissioner of Police in Mumbai. He caught the infamous serial killer , Charles Sobhraj, twice.
I wish to watch more such well made movies ! Hats off to the real heroes !!!
