Rotten Tomatoes gave a 6/10. The Hindu commented on Pankaj Tripathi & Konkona ‘s chemistry as ‘electric’. Anupam Kher & Neena Gupta’s track was described as ‘warm, witty & deeply moving’ by News 18.
Aditya Roy Kapur ‘s role was viewed by some critics as underwritten. His charm is undeniable.
Filmfare gave it a 3.5 of 5 stars & Bollywood Hungama a 4 of 5 stars. Calling it ‘refreshing, one of a kind musical entertainer’.
Expecting a little more is where it disappoints. ‘Life in Metro’ is a yard stick to Basu ‘s work then this needed to be more sharp. I found the beginning a bit slow. It thawed later, but what if like me people had switched channels ?
A good long story. It has it ‘s highs & lows too. It ‘s life !
