With the buzz it created, before the first episode was loaded, Song Seung heon claimed that it would have better viewership than ‘Attorney Woo’!! Now, this is a bit far fetched. ‘Attorney Woo’ had a different premise & we loved her.
In the first episode, she meets with an accident & wakes up in a hospital. She is unwilling to being addressed as ‘Ajumma’ or ‘old lady’ because she can ‘t believe her beauty has ebbed.
It appears to be a case of amnesia. But where was she ? Why was she off -screen for so long ? These questions will be answered.
Her big fan, the police officer , Dokgo Cheol , is by her side. That ‘s a relief. How did he land up in the hospital when she was creating a ruckus? We will know eventually.
She looks exactly like curly haired, freckled like Hwang Jung eum in ‘She was Pretty’. Waking up after a gap of few years is exactly like ‘Still 17’ she has lost those years to coma.
Comes to mind ‘Birth of a Beauty’ or ‘True Beauty, ‘My ID is Gangnam beauty’. The over emphasis on the looks. Skin deep beauty.
In ‘Crash landing on You’ Son Ye -jin is Yoon Se-ri, often called ‘Se-ri’ . It reminded me of her. The name sounding so alike. ‘Im Se Ra’.
‘My Love from the Star’ has Jun Ji hyun as the eccentric star Cheon Song yi. ‘Shooting Stars’ has Kim Young dae as the top star Gong Tae sung.
Uhm Jung Hwa was recently in ‘Our Blues’ 2022, ‘Doctor Cha’ 2023, now again in a lead role od Im Se Ra/ Bong Cheong Ja. A versatile actor.
Song Seung Heon from ‘Saimdang, Light ‘s Diary’ 2017, ‘Black Knight’2023, now as Dokgo Cheol, as the male lead.
After the next episode it would be easy to say how the story evolves. The first impression is good. A solid drama.
