Rated at 7.8. Made on a budget of Rs 4 crores it garnered Rs 7.29 crores. Just after 31 days of it ‘s release ! Looking at the Marathi films faring in theatres, this is good.
Santosh Bhingarde of Sakal rates it a 4 of 5 stars. ‘This is a story & screenplay that is full of humor & is accompanied by lively & witty dialogues’. Bhagyashree Rasal of Maharashtra Times gives a 3 out of 5 stars.

Low expectations & stars from ‘Hasya Jatra’ pulled the crowds. All have done an excellent job. Half an hour towards the end is very good.
Story good, actors fine yet sometimes the end is not right . Sometimes it is too long. The time line is perfect & we know about the characters as the story proceeds.
A scene or two , it does n’ t go back & forth. Our Nasik is highlighted. I would have liked more. But yes, the old memories of college , promises & love happen in Nasik. The bicycle rides, greenery. Along with few promotional bits.
River Godavari in a long shot would have been nice. The waterfall or the Kandoba hill would have lent authenticity. Of course, their flat in Mumbai near the Golden Pagoda is nice.
