It is a South Korean romantic comedy film. It is based on the webtoon ‘Moral Sense’ by Gyeoul. Directed by Park Hyun jin. It stars Seohyun, Lee Jun young.
It depicts romance between Ji hoo, who has everything perfect but has secret BDSM desires & Ji woo, a competent public relations team member who finds about his secret.
It released on Netflix on Feb. 11 2022 to coincide with Valentine ‘s day.
Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 6.2 /10. Kate Sanchez rated the film with 8.5 /10. ‘It is sweet & sensual. It takes a wholesome look at the boundaries & love while taking time to explore kink in a context that doesn ‘t treat it as something dangerous or abnormal… one of the best representations of kink I have seen in a film’.
James Marsh gives it 3 of 5 stars.
Used to the romantic genre of a kind, a few scenes are harsh on the eyes. We believe that dominance & submission are inherent in a relationship but the presentation depends on our own liking.
Both the actors are believable & true to their emotions. Only our senses may not really warm up to the theme.
