Starring Lee Je hoon, Pyo Ye jin, Kim Eui sung, Esom, Jang Hyuk jin, Bae Yoo ram, Shin Jae ha. It is based on ‘The Deluxe Taxi (Red Cage) by Carlos & Lee Jae jin.
Kang Do gi is a KMA graduate who works as a taxi driver for a company which offers a ‘revenge call’ service to its clients who have been wronged & helps them to exact vengeance.
Taxi driver received praise from viewers for the storyline & performances. The final episode in season 1 achieved the fourth highest rating of any Friday -Saturday drama in SBS history. The season 2 finale earned a higher rating than the previous season. It set a new record for any mini series in 2023.
At the SBS awards in 2021, Lee Je hoon won the Top Excellence award with Esom . Supporting actor for Kim Eui sang & Cha Ji yeon. The scene stealer award for Shim So young, Best New actor Choi Hyun wook.
In 2023, Lee Ji hoon won the Grand Prize ( Daesang ), Excellence award to Shin jae ha, Excellence award to Pyo Ye jin, Best supporting actor Jang Hyuk-jin & Bae Yoo ram. Netizen’s best SBS Drama of 2023 was Taxi Driver 2, Best young actress Ahn Chae heum, Scene Stealer award to Go sang ho & Byun Jung hee. “Taxi Driver also won the Outstanding Hallyu Drama Award.
Right from the first scene you get sucked in the world of Deluxe Taxi & the revenge saga. If the season one is so good, then I wish I could skip it & go to season 2!!!
I watched ‘The Apothecary Diaries ‘ season 2 & did not need any introductions. One of the best shows till date. Mao mao & Jinshi rock!!
