It is adapted from the web novel ‘Xian Ru Wo De Re Lian’ by Er Dong Tu Zi.
The story begins in the southern city of Qingyi, where Xu Zhi of Ruijun & Chen Lu Zhou meet on a rainy day. It starts with a mis- understanding. As their romance blooms, his family sends him abroad for studies, she goes to Beijing to study architecture.
Chen Lu Zhou gives up his studies abroad & returns to China. He enrolls in Xu Zhi ‘s university. After the long separation, he confronts his feelings & bravely, passionately pursues his ‘ex-girlfriend’.
From there starts their passionate love tale.
Along with the leads, the second pair is entertaining. But the older actors are superb. Her father , Xu Guang Qi & his friend , Cai Bin Hong are able to sparkle in every scene. The confused Mr Fu , who is Chen’s biological father & unable to confront him.
Lin Qui Die , Chen’s mother, the actress Dong Xuan , was in ‘Mr Bad’ 2022, as Nan Xing’s adoptive mother & ‘The Double’ 2024 as Jiang Li’s mother.
