It depicts the story of an ordinary college student ‘s soul taking possession of the body of a minor character in a romantic novel. Given that Beon was meant to fall in love with Jo Eun-ae, the original female lead, her involvement upends the plot of the original novel.
Seon -chaek tries desperately to steer Beon back towards Eun-ae & restore the original plot, but no matter how hard she tries, Beon ‘s affection consistently returns to her.
It is based on the original Naver series web novel ‘The First Night with the Duke’ by Hwang Do-tol.
The viewership rose from 3.3% to 3.4 % for the second episode.
I have always liked this premise of soul swapping. Plus Ok Taec-yeon in lead is another attraction. As a Prince he is much suited to the role.
The clash of values then & now can be clearly seen. Knowing the end she enters in the novel & has a life time experience, life changing or lesson learning !
