Johansson portrays Lucy , a woman who gains psychokinetic abilities when a nootropic , psychedelic drug is absorbed into her bloodstream.
Made on a budget of $ 40 million it garnered $ 469 million.
It was shot in Taipei, Paris & New York city.
One of the goals was to bring in a diverse cast to show the planet’s diversity & a mixture of the different cultures. Johansson, a Caucasian,
Lucy watches her boyfriend, Richard get shot. Then she is injected with the drug. She experiences a change in her confined cell. She bangs against the four walls.
Later looking at a tree outside, while travelling in a taxi, she watches for each & every cell of the tree. It’s amusing.
We don’t use our brains to the full. Einstein had used some. As the scientist states we use less than 20% of the neurons.
The sci fi is superb.
