Perfect Match

Rated at 7.7 is better than many shows. The premise of a widowed mother with five unmarried daughters is not new. But the treatment is. It is genuinely humorous. It also has a few values to be learnt in between.

Mrs Li , whose vivacious nature earned them the notorious nickname ‘The six Tigers of the Li Family’ are in search of suitable grooms. She finds them & how!

‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’ made way for many siblings & ready sub plots. Hindi movie ‘Satte pe Satta’ remains memorable for Amitabh Bachchan ‘s double role & good story.

After all of 36 episodes, all the daughters meet their match & in the end the Lady Li , now, a grand mother , celebrates her birthday in the presence of all her family members.

Every ten episodes have a new heroine. Each pair is given space & footage. Except the son who comes at the very end. The story includes his marriage also.

Around the 25th episode we wonder if it is a suspense or action drama, the fourth daughter & her judge husband get involved in cases & in each other subsequently.

The drama begins with the already married second daughter in the Pan family. His cousin the owner of the Pan restaurant Chai An becomes the third son-in-law. Their marriage is regular romantic reunion.

The first daughter is widowed & finding a match is tough. An imperial exam aspirant resides close by. Mrs Li switches his bride, the third daughter with the first one! They have a tough time accepting each other.

The fourth daughter has her mind set on a certain Mr Shen. He doesn’t want to marry. From the 20th episode we witness who she manages to win him.

The fifth daughter is a rebel. Her bridal sedan is switched in the market. Mr Yang has long been interested in her. Next day her would have been husband, Mr He, comes over to the Yang’s & says he is happy with his wife!!!

Now, she is set with a task of reforming her husband. Fortunately she knows him well!!! After 3 years at sea he comes back reformed & wishing to be with her!

At the ‘Sifu House’ she does not turn up for the suitor selection & Mrs Li’s adopted daughter finds a young man who is engaged & a white pomerium who snatches the ball. The young man, Mr She turns to be their long lost brother. He has been promised to Qiong Nu, the adopted daughter.

So all is well in the end.
