After watching two episodes, it does frustrate you. We are used to clear cut characters. To deal with greys is tough.
When I saw the watch on the hand of the burns patient, it was a dead giveaway, I thought. But more than the pieces, as the picture is formed, it is more disturbing. Do we start with Dr Lee’s school trauma??
Or perhaps plunge into the debtor who took money from the loan sharks, planned the death of his father??
The story has many layers & every character is involved, directly or indirectly! Shin Min ah as doctor is superb. Her childhood trauma makes her sleepless , even today. Her burning rage is something we understand.
Kim Sung kyun as Jang Gil-ryong with his cap looks every inch the Chinese man, he is portraying. I have seen most of his dramas & yet I needed time to figure him out.
Park Hae soo as Kim trying to take another identity, only to plunge deep into hell ! Lee Hee joon asPark Jae young deserved to die yesterday.
After getting the hang of things it’s easier to relate. We do believe in ‘karma’.
