Looking at the ring in Gong’s middle finger in ‘When the Stars Gossip’ got me thinking. No Min ho has not given it. She is wearing it from before.

Normally the ring is worn in the ring finger. Remember the netizens gaga over the leads wearing their rings after the show. ‘The ‘Queen of Tears’.

The husband wearing it after his wife’s demise. He can’t bring himself to remove it. Only after his next affection gets serious he is able to remove it.

In “Secret Love’ Ji Sung gives it freely to Hwang Jung eum, as he does n’t have the cash. He asks her to keep it as a collateral. He does it when his would be fiancée is beside him! ( approved by his father)

She is proposed by her boyfriend on the same day & gets another ring. She has that with her till the end.

A unique instance of getting two rings in a day!

Then there is the can ring which is cherished, in a Pilipino drama. So much that it is lost & searched for in a trash can.

In ‘The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract’ Hong, Tae ha’s secretary gives a can ring to his girlfriend Sa wol who loses it. Hong’s sister & Sa wol then start on a drinking spree & a number of cans are emptied to find the perfect fit!

The ‘jade’ ring in ‘Goblin’ is another story.

Rings fitting or mis fits form a nice story. ‘Queen of Rings’ or “King of Rings’ , I men ‘Lord of the Rings!’ have a nice ring to it.
