Following the mysterious death of an elderly Catholic priest, an NIS agent turned Catholic priest attempts to bring the culprits involved before law. Hilarious journey in taking down the gangsters & corrupt officials in the city is what follows.
The journey is not so smooth when the corrupt prosecutor of the city refuses to cooperate.
Kim Nam gil as Father Michael is superb. His long flowing coat & his handsome features keep you glued to the screen. I started the drama yesterday & binged for five episodes. Sometimes he looks like Lee Min ho & also smiles the same way. But for his eyes.
“Personal Taste’ 2010 cameo, “Live up to Your Name’ 2017 which I left after two episodes. But he has matured & taken the lead so well here! I plan to start that drama again. Also Hanee’s ‘One the Woman’ cameo.
The black clad men in ‘Guardian’ & the flowing coat of Jung Hae in in the drama ‘One Spring Night’… do I like men in Black ?? I wonder. But Gong Yoo & Lee Dong wook have never looked better!
Lee Hanee as Angela. Another bold prosecutor. Did I get vibes of ‘Vincenzo’ with the cluttered office? No. That drama is on another level.
Hanee is corrupt & obeys her boss unwaveringly. Father calls her ‘Old lady!’ confidently. If she admires his good looks she doesn’t let him know.
Kim Sung kyun as Goo Dae young is a clumsy detective. He is made to work with the priest for the re-investigation. ‘Reply 1994’ 2013, ‘Reply 1988’ 2015-16, ‘Moon lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ 2016 show case his wide range.
Again in ‘Divorce Attorney Shin’ 2023 he had a lead role. An office manger in Cho Seung woo’s lawyer office. He has excellence award for ‘The Fiery Priest’.
Along with huge success the actors got several awards. It is the highest rated mini series drama aired in 2019. The action comedy drama features parodies from ‘Mr Sunshine, ‘Nameless Gangster’, The Matrix;, Reply 1988 & Along with the Gods : The Two Worlds’.
