Literal meaning : Why Oh Soo jae. It is a South Korean TV series. Directed by Park Soo jin. Starring Seo Hyun jin,Hwang In youp, Huh Joon-ho in pivotal roles. Also Bae In hyuk appears in the series.
Oh Soo-jae is a talented lawyer & the youngest partner at TK Law firm , the best law firm in South Korea. She is driven by her desire to win cases & also her self righteous principles.
She gets involved inan unexpected case & gets demoted to work as an adjunct professor at Seojung University Law school. She meets Gong Chan, a student. He falls for her & will do anything to protect her.
Choi Tae kook, the chairman of TK Law firm would do anything to satisfy his desires, even if it is illegal or immoral.
Right from the first episode it gets interesting. So much happens that there is not a minute given to think. A confident woman breaking the glass ceiling to become a CEO. If she says ‘TK is me & I am TK” the chairman doesn’t like it. He sends her on a vacation.
But if she was a man it would be perceived as confidence…, self esteem & self assertion. It is so wrong to blame someone for spite.
The case of the hostess & the would be Presidential candidate made me think of Lee Sun-kyun’s case. Who was guilty ? Did he have to die ?? Do the netizens really scare people ??? I haven’t got over his untimely exit.
The viewership for the last episode is 10.7 & 11.4% . Generally it was above 6% in Seoul & Nationwide.
At the SBS Drama awards 2022, Seo Hyun jin got the Top excellence award along with Huh Joon ho, Best new actor for Bae In hyuk & Best young actor for Lee Eugene. Rest of them got only the nominations.
