Tie The Knot (2016)

Directed by Shuja Paul. Writers Nadia Kijanka, Shuja Paul. Starring Tara Reid, Parvesh Cheena, Karishma Ahluwalia.

A lady doctor in LA comes to India because her father had a stroke. Actually, all is well Her parents want her to get married. They have lined up several dates.

A modern American woman takes an impromptu journey to Mumbai ( because the ticket was cheap!) to get away from her overbearing mother, she befriends the Indian doctor, Sonia, who is trying to balance her family’s culture with modern day demands.

Rated at 3.4 /10.

The story is good. But the handling could have been better. Half way the plot gets soggy. If she is a top doctor why can’t she confidently operate on Kavi’s sister Karishma???

Larynx is a delicate organ. But why wait for a miracle? Only four cases have been successful. But if the patient is ready why falter?

She decides to tie the knot with the other doctor! Safe bet. What about her feelings for Kavi ???

Shuja Paul is a talented writer. But with Indian context in mind , it would have been enjoyable.

Could have done better.
