Gretchen Daniels moves back to her hometown of Wilsonville with her son Ethan, at the urging of her husband & Ethan’s father , Kyle, who was injured while on deployment & is recovering at a military hospital in Germany.
In the house next door resides Melissa McCreary, who works all the time & doesn’t socialize with anyone. A message is delivered to Gretchen that Melissa ‘s mother has passed away. The apartment needs to be cleared by the weekend.
In the house, they find an unfinished letter by her mother. Her mother had another child before she was born. She had given the child for adoption. It was a son or a daughter is not mentioned.
Finding the sibling is the entire story.
