After an year abroad in London, Emma returns home & stuns her mother Lana with the news that she is engaged. When Lana asks her about the wedding date, she informs her that she is getting married in a month at a resort in Phuket, Thailand.
Things get worse when Lana discovers that the husband to be RJ is the son of Will, the man who broke her heart years earlier.
Rotten Tomatoes has given it 3.3 /10. “Mother of the Bride’ serves an oft -overlooked demographic & takes us to crystalline beaches before it ceremonially drowns in generic waters.”
With such a talented bunch it could have been better. The premise is good but the execution is not.
