It is an Indian Marathi language drama film. Co-written & directed by Paresh Mokashi. Produced by Swapnil Joshi. It features Mukta Barve, Namrata Sambherao, Sarang Sathye in lead roles with Sukanya Mone, Supriya Pathare, Madhugandha Kulkarni with others.
The film traces the dynamic between the homemaker & their household/ domestic assistant, portraying their humorous & tumultuous relationship.
Released on 1 May 2024 to positive reviews & became the highest grossing Marathi film of the year. It garnered $ 3.3 million at the box office.
Santosh Bhingarde of ‘Sakal’ gave it 3.5/5 & praised the direction, acting, music & cinematography. Kalpeshraj Kubal of ‘The Times of India’ gave it a3/5. Reshma Raikwar of ‘Loksatta’ gave it praise for it’s portrayal of the emotional world of a woman without getting stuck in overly dramatic scenarios.
When Rani is about to enter the final round of the ‘Yog competition’, her friend/partner Kalyani gets injured. Her maid, Asha,( which means Hope) takes her place. Also her mother & mother-in-law support her.
Without getting melodramatic, it ends on a positive note.
