It is an Indian Telugu language fantasy comedy film. Directed by B.V.Nandini Reddy. Music by Mickey J. Meyer. It stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu & Lakshmi. Naga Shaurya, Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh & Teja Sajja. It is a remake of 2014 South Korean film ‘Miss Granny’ directed by Hwang Dong hyuk.
The plot follows a woman in her 70s, who magically finds herself turned into her own physical 24 year old self after having her picture taken at a mysterious photo studio.
It received positive reviews, with praise for Samantha’s performance. The Times of India gave 3.5 of 5 stars. ‘India Today’gave 3 out of 5 stars stating ‘ it makes you understand the struggles your grandmother had to undergo & appreciate the life you have now. Samantha won the Best actor – female award at the Critics Choice Film Awards in 2020. & also at the 9th Indian International Movie Awards on 18 Sept. 2021. Lakshmi won the Best Supporting Actress Award.
In 2020, at the Zee Cine Awards Telugu Samantha won the Best actor in a Leading role.
